A fifth-generation native Delawarean, Michael has enjoyed the Southeast Florida lifestyle aboard his various boats for the last 20 years. Originally a member of the Delray Beach Yacht Club, he began commuting weekends from his law practice throughout the winter seasons. Before retiring from the practice of law, he spent ten consecutive winter seasons on the Peruvian Dock in Palm Beach. Michael is well-versed in all the waterways and related properties from Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale and enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge with those interested.
After retiring from law and a two-year cruise he settled at the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale and has resided in Fort Lauderdale for the last five (5) years. Michael is intimately familiar with waterfront properties and enjoys representing clients who have similar boating interests.
After his first four years with another real estate firm, Michael has chosen to associate with Coldwell Banker. In his first year with Coldwell Banker, he became a member of the International Sterling Society based on his record sales history.
Michael's experience as a litigator is helpful in all stages of negotiations and enhances resolving any issues that may arise between offer and settlement.
Michael is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and a previous member of Radley Run, Kings Creek, and The University Clubs.
Michael's son, Drew Carr, and his family reside in the Dr. Phillips suburb of Orlando, Florida, and was the Delaware Junior Amateur Champion while attending Archmere Academy and Open Men's Champion at Michael's clubs before college. He maintains a scratch handicap, something Dad has never accomplished! Drew is a principal in Fidelity Sports, a golf management concern.
Michael prides himself in uncompromising and highly personalized service to his clients and is accomplished in both residential and commercial real estate. A number of his clients look to him to manage exclusive residences for both seasonal and annual rental opportunities. Michael likewise manages multi-unit apartment complex investments for his clients.
